Well now, I'm sort of LOLing and furious at the same time, here.
There's been a lot of "huff-and-puff" about the education system here in the East Bay. Basically, they wanted to fire three VERY QUALIFIED individuals from their jobs, because they wanted to teach an "anti-bully" method in schools. Meaning, teachers should educate the students that discriminating for ANY REASON is wrong as hell, and that reason happened to include homosexuals, transgendered people, etc. So, naturally, the derp-police decided OH NOES POLITICAL GAY AGENDA and there's been controversy ever since.
Quite frankly, using "childhood innocence" for your idiocy on the matter is just deplorable. The fact that you're going to fire THREE people from their jobs because you don't like the "agenda" they're pushing is just ridiculous. And you're SURPRISED they sued the council? I fucking would too. Don't act shocked that they're going to sue your sorry ass for wanting for fire them. It's called discrimination, but oh, you're going to act like the victim.

By "brainwashed" I hope you mean "educated". What amuses me is that some of the kids I've seen learning about this sort of stuff (7-10 year olds) are ALREADY smarter than their parents about this shit. Did I forget what year it is? Almost 2010 you say? Why, I thought it was the 1950's! Aren't homosexuals those creeps that hang around young boy's bathrooms and abduct children to infect them with AIDS? FFS people.

What IRKS me most is that I'm married to an educator, myself. What happens if he talks about being married to another guy? What if one of his students goes to the dean and complains? My husband might get fired. And for WHAT? Being honest? Where at ALL is the fairness in that? It's the same shit, just a different smell. And it's just appalling. My husband has actually been trying to do what he can TO desensitize people in his classrooms to this sort of thing. I've even come to his classes before to make an appearance and talk about shit that otherwise probably should have no purpose in a regular lecture. Why? Because people need to know, and if they can't handle it, they can walk out of the classroom (and believe me, it has happened).
I'm sick of the motherfucking carebear parents that think telling your child ANYTHING will make them what....explode? OH NO my kid knows people out there kiss other people of the same gender WHAT EVER SHALL WE DO YOU GUISE. THEIR LIVES ARE RUINED FOREVER, THERE IS NO UNSCARRING THIS TRAVESTY.
